Our Services

  • Comprehensive Eye Exams for people of all ages – Our goal is to keep our clientele seeing clearly and maintain your eye health for life. Annual exams are recommended to maintain vivid vision, and to ensure our patient’s eyes remain as healthy as possible. We offer free wide-angle digital photography (the Optomap) at each comprehensive vision exam, in order to detect potential threats to eye health.

  • Contact lens fitting services – We are happy to provide soft spherical, toric, multi-focal, and monovision contact lens fitting services at Bright Eyes Family Vision Care.

  • Medical office visits – We provide care for ocular emergencies, including flashes of light, floaters, eye infections, red eyes, foreign bodies, contact lens related issues, and other minor injuries.

  • Eye disease management – We diagnose and treat many eye health conditions. Through connections with other local eye care providers, we refer for surgical procedures, when necessary, to serve our patients’ individual needs.
  • Pediatric Eye Exams – Dr. Mounts has consistently provided care to children as young as six months of age throughout her career. We are happy to provide this service to young patients at Bright Eyes Family Vision Care.
  • Diabetic Eye Exams – Our diabetic patients are encouraged to get a dilated eye examination yearly. We are happy to provide this service to our patients, and maintain communication with our patients’ other health care providers to ensure continued comprehensive patient care.

About Us

Bright Eyes Family Vision care is proud to partner with Costco to provide convenient, compassionate eye care to our patients.  We are located inside the Richland, WA Costco. We are excited to provide comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages, and offer an array of stylish glasses and contact lens options, through Costco Optical, conveniently located just steps outside our door.

Dr. Jana Mounts

Our Doctor

Dr. Jana Mounts is a native of Eastern Oregon. She obtained her Doctorate of Optometry at Pacific University College of Optometry, and after completing her optometric residency in Manhattan, she returned to the Portland area, where she practiced for several years. She relocated to the Columbia Basin in 2012, and has practiced optometry in the Tri-Cities area since 2013. Professionally, Dr. Mounts is comfortable helping patients of all ages. She takes the time to delve into her patients’ issues, and provides customized care for every patient. Outside of work, Dr. Mounts loves spending time with her family, reading, camping, paddle-boarding, and boating.

Insurance

Bright Eyes Family Vision Care will directly bill insurance for Costco employees. If you currently have insurance coverage through a Costco employee insurance plan, please let us know, and we will gather the information necessary to process your insurance claim. If you are not employed by Costco, we are happy to provide an itemized receipt which you may submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
